Hello to everyone,
So, before some time I had Win 8 and everything was fine. After a while I have had installed fresh Win 8.1 system. After that I tried and tried to make USB 3.0 in function but not successful. Trying everything, reinstalling, looking from ASUS website for drivers, but then I agreed with myself that I will wait until Win 10 came out so I had hope that this will solve my problem but it didn't! :-( I also looked on forums, different threads but no luck. I have got ASUS laptop G55VW (ROG series) and on ASUS website there is no drivers for win 10 (except 8 and 9 Series chipset) and yes, it's good to know if someone could help me, my chipset is HM77 Ivy Bridge.
Thank you in advance!
Ivan
I determined that my system had two (2) of these “amd64_usb” sub-folders for each of three (3) ‘Unknown’/missing USB devices, and so I copied these (6) subfolders into my “C: Downloads HP Drivers USB USB_3.0_eXtensible_Host_Controller_Driver” folder to isolate them for any future possible necessary use.

About USB Drivers:
Windows operating systems automatically apply a generic driver that allows users to transfer files using the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port; however, installing the appropriate software can bring about significant changes.
If the proper USB software is installed, systems will benefit from improved compatibility with different devices, numerous fixes regarding USB issues, and various other changes that can increase transfer speed with external storage drives.
When it comes to the installation steps, simply check to make sure that the download record is compatible with your system characteristics, get the package, run the setup, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete update.
Bear in mind that even though other OSes might be compatible, it would be best if you applied this package only on specified platforms. In addition to that, as technology evolves from one day to another, we recommended that you always use the latest software available.
